moisture in refractometer

So lets just say somebody gave our refratometer a very light mist with the hose to wash it and now it has moisture on the inside of the lens:( Its marginally useable now. I am very tempted to remove the two small screws that hold the eyepeice on and dry it, but dont want to render it unusable. Does anyone have and experience with this?:lol:

once apon a time someone i know a guy that did the same thing ! let it dry out and it worked again and no more water hosing !!

put it in a bag of uncooked white rice, it will pull the moisture out.
