Has or dose anyone reheat syrup in a microwave to bottle it?..any side affects?..

Never have but i would think the stove would be better and less chance of a mess.

There's a guy I know that does quarts in the mic,put's them in for 4 minutes,one at a time, takes them out and puts the lid and band on.But in my personal opinion I wouldn't do it that way.

I'd worry about it heating evenly to packing temps. Microwaves aren't known for even heating. I'd also be concerned about losses due to boilovers. I reheat syrup in the microwave before serving. It gets extremely hot in a matter of seconds so not sure microwaving large quantities is the way to go. I'd rather finish on the stove where temp can be measured more easily and things kept under better control.
