I think I'm a dollar high on the 8 oz ($8) and 12 oz ($10) but right on on the Pint ($12)
I was hoping I could charge a little more cause I only have 41 Taps and I know this year I'll be turning people down so I can keep a year's Supply for me!
This Summer I'm gonna go through my woods and mark all my Maple Trees and hopefully hit 100 to 150 Taps next year and run tube to big storage Containers... Got a lot of thinking and prepping to do this summer cause 85 buckets in the woods will not be fun!

Don,
My prices are in line with yours. I may add a dollar for the more expensive maple leaf bottles though. I am only filling a dozen that customers can buy as gifts. Ha! I have 85 bags and it takes a while to collect but they don't all run at he same time. Hope to see them dripping a bit today.

I told the little old lady next door $42, and she said "No...That's not enough. It's an awful lot of hard work. Here, you take $50."
So OK, I guess the price is $50 this year.

I read these prices and can't believe it. this area has gotten so saturated with large and small operations. i've lost all my customers when i retired. The co-op decided not to handle us smaller outfits and now just buys from one big place. What's the point of a community co-op when they do that? they lost my business and many others. No one will travel to pick it up. insurance agent doesn't even want to hear about signs advertising it. When we do shows (NO MORE) people will argue with me over the price and try to "bargain" like at a flea market! These are the same dummies who don't know the difference between honey and syrup!
Maybe I'll start a forum on "the stupid things people say"

Seems that selling for $28 doesn't make sense when bulk is about $30 give or take a bit without the cost of the jugs. A quart jug is about what $2.

Raised our prices this year (first time in 3 years)
$55 - Gallon
$30 - 1/2 Gallon
$20 - Quart
$10 - Pint
$8 - 1/2 Pint
Gallons and 1/2 gallons are packed in plastic. Quarts and under are in tins or glass.
We only sell some of our product, and give some to family and friends, but when we do sell the price is $7 for a half pint and $13 for a pint, $25 for two pints.

I've seen prices falling in stores. For those experienced in this business, can you confirm that is this common and is it typically an initial sag until inventories drop followed by a recovery?
I saw mostly very dark amber (mine is medium I would say) and one small bottler was at $12.95/qt at the grocery store.
I'm not doing this to make money, I just want to sell some to help recoup some of my equipment costs.

I ended up settling on a price of $3 per 100ml + bottle cost.
So,
$10.50 for 250ml
$115 per gallon
Then again, folks said my syrup tasted unlike any they've ever had, so I kept getting requests for more, even at those prices.

I charged $3.73 per 100ml plus packaging. I sold it as fast as I could ring it up. I let customers taste test it and it sold every time.
