I had collected a small amount (7 gal) of sap monday nite. The sap had been sitting in the buckets in 60 degree temps all day while I was at work. The sap was very slightly yellow and very slightly cloudy. It did not smell or taste funny. I dumped it. My question is did I need to or could I have produced good syrup from the sap.

Probably would have been fine. If it passes the smell and taste test - I boil.
