I heard that there is a draw off that is more less a continuous flow.. It opens when at temp and slows down but really never closes completely and opens more as the temp gets back to the setting that you want to draw off at. Cant find the maker of it..

You may be thinking of H2O Innovation's auto draw. I saw one working last week and the percentage of valve opening depends upon the temp. Ex. ; .1 over it opens the valve 10%,.2 over = 20% open .3 over = 30% ,etc.( numbers may not be exact) The whole time I was there never saw a the dreaded spike in temp. as you draw off, very even and consistent temp and draw. Basically a DC powered modulating motor on a small scale. Of course it was on a H2O Innovation gasification rig and I only saw the stack temp vary 100 degrees and that was when firing, back to temp. in less than a minute!

Marcland also makes a proportional drawoff that tries to stay open by modulating instead of open / close.
