Thanks for viewing my post. This will be my first year using a raised flue pan, continuous flow (2x4, 6" deep "V" shaped flue channels). If I run the sap below the peaks of the "v"s will the pan likely scorch? I've viewed lots of posts about sap level, and most seem to run just over the top of the flues. But I'm not sure, given that my flues are v shaped and not square. I appreciate your advice!

i'm not to sure on the proper answer, but im designing a pan something like yours right now. sounds like anyways. When or if you get a chance in the next little bit. I'd love to see some pictures to see any little things i might have missed in my designs. Good luck with getting the right answers to this question

Any metal that is exposed to flame and not sap will quickly be ruined........
If new to this I would recommend running 1.5" or deeper (thats over the flues)until you get the hang of it.

The metal must be covered with sap. I run about 1" above the flues, but others run a little shallower.
