Anyone out there has pines in the sugar trees / comments about sugar levels and syrup grade ?

These trees run like a race but only 1% and very dark syrup .

2/27 was a 2.45 gallon per tap on 52 day old tapps .

I am cutting pine licky split 7284

I was getting 1.9 during the snowstorm Wed. Don't have many pines in any of the woods I tap.

Usally pine trees grow on lighter ground and sand doesn't hold
Moisture like heavier or clay ground. Sugar content is higher with bigger crowns
Here in michigan if its lighter ground with pine trees that
Woods usually runs first but the sugar content isnt there
But some producer cant pick and choose. An ro would be
Nice in this situation but good luck this season.
