Finished flu pan

I finally finished the flu pan I started a couple weeks ago it's 3 ' wide by 4' long with 8 drop flu's 2" wide by 8" deep the flu's alone will hold around 25 gallons of sap so I added a drain system to empty the pan at the end of a sap run. I would again like to thank everyone for a lot of great advice and idea's I gleaned from reading previous post's. It made the build a good deal less difficult.

Great looking pan,nice job!What gauge did you use?Should boil great,let us know you GPH.

20 ga 304 stainless in a number 4 polished finish two full 4'x10' sheets in the pan and an additional three 4'x8" pieces of 24 ga for the dividers should know the evaporation rate fairly soon my brother started putting out the 500 taps he is going to run this year today plan to build one more of these flu pans to sit behind this one for next year we have a 3'x12' grim arch. This pan was all TIG welded and the back of almost all welds was back gassed with argon I did try using Solar Flux type B on the back of a couple welds but do to the residue left behind decided the argon was a better deal for my application.

Looks like we are getting around 50 gph with firewood dug out of the snow :( need to build a wood shed off the side of the sugar shack for next years wood supple ran about 1200 gallons of sap so far very very happy with the gph compared to the 3'x12' flat pan system we where using it never did boil the entire back pan this flue pan rocks
