I know how you feel. Going from a 2x2 batch pan last year to a 2x6 this year it's a weird concept for me not to be able to boil till there's enough sap. Makes me miss the gallon of sap on the stove top only to have a few finger fulls to taste when I was done.

No im not! Im totally dreding my arm surgery in early April...3-4 weeks in a cast on my dominent hand! Ugh! Sure wish I could plow my food plot and plant it, package my 2 new beehives, plow and plant my garden, treat my pond...ugh!

Maybe ill go try my luck casting for walleye through the floating iceburgs in the St. Clair River...

Well Don,,Since you asked,,,,and since your a plumber.

Can you build a smaller version of the Alaska Pipeline?

This pipeline would carry sap from your house to mine.

Just teasing,,,I am getting minimal amounts of sap, a grand total as of this eve, approx. 20 gallons from the last 48 hours.

Tomorrow, if the weather peeps dont change the forecast, I should get my amount to fire the new arch, or even more !!

Hopeing for 50 gallons, so 30 gallons more needed. Very possible if the weather stays as forecsted. 5C or or 41F is tomorrows forecast,,,lets hope !!

Just think the amount of Sap we'd have if we made a 20 inch mainline underground from your house to mine...cut it in half in the middle and pitched it half your way and half my way and tapped every maple tree close to it along the way!

Talk about a Milion Dollar Idea!

Got 30 gallons yesterday and when I collect buckets from today and tomorrow I'm guessing another 55 more...add that together and Saturday I should have 85 gallons to boil to add to the 75 I boiled down and is in the pan from last saturday!!!!

That should give me...ummm... 3.72 Gallons of Syrup! (How's my Math now?! LOL )

blah blah blah I'm bored again...

Don, how about a hood, preheater, ro,it is endless hobby. The more you make the more you want just faster. Look for culled lumber at the lumber yards that is how I put my addtion on the barn for sugaring. Good luck. Lee
