I have read on here about lapierre straight spout and health taps. I would love to buy some this year to try before I buy a whole bunch for next year but where do I get them I researched it online but can't find them. I read they are about $.15 each. I use sap bag holders made of pvc and aluminum gutter material will these plastic taps hold up to them which I hope they will since I also read people are hanging 5 gal buckets on them. Thanks

I've been thinking about them myself. Someone in your area may know where you can purchase a few to try out this year. Since local suppliers are hard to find around here I figure I'll have to go mail order. I saw them in the bascom's catalog. I've ordered from them before and they've been good to deal with but their shipping and handling costs can run on the high end. I'm thinking I might as well order a bunch as it's probably going to cost the same to ship a bunch as just a few of them. Here's a link to their catalog. They cost $.16 each.

Another mail order source I found closer to you is here. They run .14 each. Look under "Tubing fittings" on page 5. I've never dealt with this company so can't say anything much about them

I checked at sugarbush supply as well as their prices always look decent and others on this forum that have dealt with them speak highly of them. I didn't see these spouts listed there but I might have missed them. It might be worth calling them.

That's about all I can tell you. Check back because others may have more options for both of us:).

I'm using the CDL Smart Spout! I love em! 5/16" spout, 5/16" drill bit. 5/16" ID vinyl tubing, gravity. Works great.

I installed about 20 of the lapierre seasonal spouts today. I am hanging buckets and pvc bag holders. On trees with thicker bark, it isn't possible to hang a bucket or a bag because the ring is too close to the spout tip so I had to run a handful of drop tubes. I have some seasonal leader taps that have a longer spout that I will try tomorrow.
