i hear what you are saying. 300 buckets out and i have made 1 gallon. collected my yard taps last night, 9 taps/10 gallons , i bet i did not have 40 gallons, if that, in the rest of my 290 buckets on the hill. i will checking/collecting tonight but not hopeful until the weekend, it is/has been hovering around 32-35 f here. need some sunshine!

The producers getting sap are all on vacuum. I have 200 yard trees on gravity that have done very little. The 850 I have on vacuum have had some good runs. Everyone in ny has a good weekend unless they change that forecast again.

My vac areas are doing well today and its only 37. Gravity dripping slow.

Don't get worried bro! Think about last year for example. There was zero snow on the ground and it wasn't even close to how cold it has been this year. Don't get me wrong, i want it to run just as bad as the next guy. We spent around $12.000.00 on new pans and more taps and line so i really want it to rip. We have 1,050 tap's out all on gravity. We have had 3 runs so far. 400,220,110 gallons of sap and have only made 4 gallons so it's not like we are killin it. I just think with it being colder and the snow accumulation we may just be boiling in april this year. Last year we were DONE march 15 cleaned up and all.

vacuum is where it is at I think, looking at the future for everyone. It made it to 39 here in Berne today, it is snowing and 32 right now. I have 25 " at the releaser and the sap is running. Unfortunately the reality of weather being so totally screwed up is you need the vacuum to get the sap when it is almost ready to run and not when it feels like being ready to run

I know what you are saying. 323 taps out and boiled last weekend for the first time and bottled up a gallon and one Qt. Running a little today but wind was cold. People with Vacuum are doing well I guess. This weekend looks good and we may be saying then ok stop no more sap, need to catch up, but will be worth it. I say this weekend hold on! Its going to let go:cool:

Bowtie im just a bit due east of you and the woods are cold, but the weekend looks good. My woods where in low to mid 30's last couple of days and even with vac stilll couldn't get trees to open up. Today ran vac for 8 hrs to get .15 gals per tap. Trees in area just aren't ready to wake up yet. But soon.

Collected 200+ from 177 taps yesterday... just down the hill from Mtn. Wind Farms... all gravity & buckets. Had about the same the day before. All of a sudden it let loose for me after two weeks of little or nothing. Trees just need a wakeup call. Sun hasn't been out much here except for Sunday when they woke up a bit.

Not trying to rub it in. Just saying, it will come. This season definitely is not like last! Give it time & you'll be swimming in sap!

Good luck this season!

Collected 800 gallons from 1000 taps. Its the first day the north woods ran much. Today should be good too (going to start the vac pumps now). Great weekend ahead. Good luck to everyone.
