I was borrowing a Friend's from work but he needed it when I did so I just went and bought one...

22 Ton Forest King Log Splitter from Menards. They have it on sale for $799 for another week I think (Reg $999)

I put it together and filled all the oil and gas and it fired right up and it's pretty quiet too.

I have alot of slipt wood I need to split smaller for my Half Pint Evaporator so I'll let ya know how it works tomorrow.

7167It's nice to make work easier. My cousin and I put one together with new and used parts. We use a lot of wood in our operation....about 20 cord a year. You will love having a splitter of your own.7166

Well it's all split small. I can't use my right arm and was waiting for my son to get home from school so, of course I couldn't wait. It starts very easy and I started it left-handed (I'm right Handed) and I went to the pile, grabbed one log with my left hand and split it, then another...and another...

Needless to say it went faster when Tyler got home from school!

My homemade log splitter is John Deere green and I could not function without it. I put ATV tires on it and drag it all through the bush, cut and split, mess in bush instead of dragging big logs closer to the house.

Don, like making syrup, your gonna love the splitter.

Nice purchase.

i have two woodsplitters, unfortunately they are attatched to my shoulders:lol: i would love to snag a woodsplitter, if only to make splitting faster. i do not mind doing it by hand but it does get pretty old after a while, and splitting the small stuff is pain. i did however pick up a 400 gallon bulk tank yesterday for $400, not to bad.
