What a difference a year makes,last year I was almost done by this time and this year today was the first I taped. Hopeing this year we go until the middle of April.I'm in South New Berlin up on the hill and it's been below freezing most days so with the report of warmer days ahead I got the bug and tapped, hope things start to run as I'm getting cabin fever and can't wait to boil.Hope everyone has a great year!:-|

Have 130 buckets out. My downtown Norwich pails hadn't started when I checked at 3:30 today. I thought for sure they would be dripping. I'm hoping they give enough for a boil by Saturday. I have a huge pile of bug infested wood that I have to burn. Best of luck to all you Chenango folks.

Here we go! Should have enough for a boil on Sunday. Now I have to figure out how to go to the Historical Maple show at the museum in Norwich, and boil at the same time. I really enjoyed the show last year, and this year they have their shack completed and operational. Anyone one in the area should make a point of stopping and checking it out, Sunday 10th noon til 4.

Sap ran great over the weekend but slowed today we had an average sugar content of 2.95 which is outstanding and the color is even better, hope it stays light for a little bit longer but this week will hurt it a little.
