Looking to add AUF to my setup. I was wondering if one of the blowers (450-500 CFM) below is sufficient or if someone could suggest a different model. I would like to install the blower this weekend.

Thank you!

Paul

Thanks for the recommendation Flat Lander! From what I read on other posts about AOF vs AUF is AOF requires high pressure low volume and AUF can use low pressure high volume. I've seen 7D749 recommended in a publication from the Proctor Maple Research Center. The decibel rating for the 7D749 is 77dBA @ 5 feet. Not really something I want to have in the sugar shack lol. If in the future I decide to do AOF, I would need to find a way to pipe in the air from outside.

I have mine in the garage piped back through wall into hot air exchanger, you do hear it but not bad. Jerry said I could use this one blower for both and try to split up the air 70/30 AOF/AUF. Havent had time so still using an old oil gun unit for AUF and going to tape up the suction side a little to cut down on air. Seems to be a lot of yellow flame trying to get more blue/purple. Because you have a larger rig I would go up a little in size you have more area inside arch fire box. Just my 2 cents Obumer took the other 8.

Haha, thanks again Flat Lander. I'll remember the 70/30 AOF/AUF for my future upgrades.

Talked to 802maple (Jerry) he said that any of three that I originally posted will be fine for AUF with my setup. Thanks 802maple (Jerry)!
