I put a couple taps in my yard on Sunday in my best trees that always run pretty early. They did drip right away, but so far this week they really haven't run. I assume that between the lack of sun, wind, and snow that's keeping the frost in the ground it's just not quite time. Glad I didn't tap any more I guess.
