New small time guy. Learning on here all sorts of good stuff.

NOW, what and how is sap sold? I reckon by the gallon and grade or percentage BUT what is a fair price?

I would like to make sugar not syrup with the sap purchased. NOT for re-sale but to use and give out to family-friends.

Thank you for your help and input

I get .50 cents per gallon for 2% sap. .48 cents per gallon for 1.9% and .45 cents per gallon for 1.8% sap.

Thank You Spud for your reply.
Is this a local price or common every place?
Would a smaller percentage or gade be better for sugar making or would one want to use the highest percentage one could get?

Thank You

Here in Wisconsin plan on about half what spud said, maybe a little more. Here it's $.15/point/gallon
