I was looking on the Northern Tool website and found this blower, I think it may work for an AOF/AUF application.
The specs. list 447 cfm. @ 6.75 in of static pressure. Priced at $144.99
Sounds pretty good, what do you think?

Sounds about right. I used SPA (hot tub blowers) mounted outside the sugar house. I like them for the AOF and Steam-away. Price was a little more than the one your looking at. I kind of like that blower. For comparison mine are 1 hp and 1.5 hp.

Chris

How do you alter your arch to get AOF. I have a blower (2X3 evap) for AUF but hear that AOF can increase efficiancy by 40-50%

That is indeed a HP design. If it holds up you should be fine.
To design AOF you need to make a manifold with nozzles every 6" apart, aimed into the fire at 6" below the pan and angled down about 10 (?) degrees. This is inside the firebox on mine but on some they go outside the firebox and in thru the front, sides and rear. Vermont Maple Research has plans online, based on the size of your arch.
