Hi All,
Wanted to get in before the blizzard, but work got in the way, then the minor problem with the 3 feet of snow. Plus was working on putting the finishing touches on my bricking & cementing job on the new evaporator. Anyway, got about 25 taps out on Friday, Feb 22nd, about a week later than I originally wanted. Early sap readings are about consistent with others seeing high sugar contents. Flow has been pretty decent on most trees. I am planning my first boil tomorrow (Monday) and I should have about 55-60 gallons. Considering I cannot boil each day, I may not install the rest of the taps just yet until I see what my evap rate is. Hopefully everyone else is doing well and had a successful weekend.
