Masport vacuum pump Muffler?

Hi everyone, I am looking for some way to quiet down my 3 hp masport electric vacuum pump. It is hooked up to a oil reclaimer but it is still pretty loud ( also it is vented outside the building). I called masport and they said that I dont want to hook up a muffler to it because it would restrict it to much. Is there any other good ways to quiet down this thing?? Thanks Paul

Paul, I run a Massport 4 and yes they are load. The best thing to do is extend your exhaust pipe further away from the building. That worked for me.
