Holding tank question????

I have a blue 35 gallon drum with a copper feed line going to pans I have the tank outside will the tank freeze with sap in it?????:cry::confused:

it seems to freeze from the outside in. your copper line will freeze solid before the tank ful will. I gently run a propane torch over my copper line to get a thaw going. not on the joints.

I have a 250 gal tank and it semi froze, what didnt freeze was slush. Be sure you drain the copper feed lines. Mine are plastic and I drain them. Same with the garden hose which I have just outside my door for potential fire control. Maybe a bit overkill, but if your in a fire you get a bit sensative about not trying it again!
