Tapped a few yesterday. Started to drip right away. Hoping to catch a run this week.

Tapped my downtown trees in Norwich on Friday. It's a little colder than the weather man predicted, but they are running ! I'll do my colder woods this week. Enjoy your season.

Thank You. You too. I got about 2 quarts each out of the trees yesterday. Didnt think it got warm enough for a run. Surprised this morning. :)

Tapped 13 in Depoait, NY yesterday. Smaller dia. trees were running but the larger trees 20"+ were still froze up.

buckets were almost full this morning....looks like its a go. Going to be boiling. :)

Had a quick short run on vac. yesterday before the storm hit. Not enough yet to start up the 2'x8', but it's can stay cold to wait for more...just waiting.... snowed all night, heavy and wet

I think the storm system may have helped here. It brought the temps up. Never did syrup before.. Figured I would give it a try. Should go well...Lets Hope!

I will say.....Making Maple Syrup Takes F o r e v e r! But being my first time on a lil redneck evaporator I made some nice syrup. Made a light amber the first batch and med amber second batch....I got the maple fever. Gonna need a bigger pan! lol

Thank You! It was a first for me. Going to try again Wednesday and see how it turns out. Hopefully just as good.

Boy is the sap running out of the tree's today!!!! Holy Cow. I cant keep up. Got more than I will need and then some..
I see a bigger evaporator in the future :)

you cant get a new evap yet vick!!!! you havent burnt your first one up yet!!
