A lot of knowledge from the "veterans" with this website and they are quick to answer questions if they can. Do some good reasearch when you get to purchasing the evaporator and building a sugar shack. I just built a sugar shack this last couple months and tried to plan it out the best I could and a lot of ideas and tips came from here.
Enjoy your new "hobby"!

Repeat after me... " My name is Ligonierbeech and I am a Maple Syrup addict!"
Welcome! I went from 5 Buckets and a Turkey Fryer to a Half Pint Evaporator last year, my 1st year!
This year is tormenting me...have 40 taps in and not enough to boil yet cause it's too cold still! With the evaporator I want like 100 gallons of sap before I start Boiling. I only have about 30 Gallons...
I think I am gonna get out the turkey fryer this weekend and boil some just to do it! That and we are out from last year!

As everyone else has said, be careful this is very addicting. Everyone's operations seem to grow significantly after their first year. Above all have fun and be open to learning, because this is one hobby with a lot of variables.
