nope its already to go just at the end of the year it would be a good idea to flush it.

If you use Leader 30P laterals your sap will smell like plastic for a while but will not affect the taste of your syrup. This was a concern for me when I used it for the first time three years ago, but now I dont worry about it since no one else seems to.

Are we really sure this is not effecting syrup flavor? I can sure smell/taste plastic when i take a swig off the end of the line, even on couple year old stuff. It does concern me. Seems like to smell or taste like plastic it is picking up plastic molecules, wouldn't they concentrate in the syrup?

Believe me I had the same concerns search the archives. I was told that it was not a problem. Some said they couldn't smell/taste it in the sap but I surely can. This is 30P tubing from several different dealers, too.
