Early in the winter, the "long range" forecast called for a slow warm up in March. Then mid-winter they say that March will be warmer then usual. Now that March is just around the corner, I keep seeing the forecasted temperatures get lowered with each progressive day. Those weeks of 40's seem to be slipping further and further back in March! This might be the year we are boiling well into April.

SandMan - In my little part of Michigan - I have had two bad years in a row. My Son and Grandsons 80 miles South of me - save my bacon and hauled up several hundred gallons of Sap for me to boil both years. I hope I finally get spared by Mother Nature and get a good one. So far I have about 3 quarts of Ice Sap from 25 trees and holding back from tapping more till the weather warms up. --- Hey! Hope we all have a good year. ----Mike----

We had a few cold snaps through Jan but since we got the SNOW its been more wintery although not bad. But the wind I hate the wind!!! I will take as cold as you can muster but that wind.....urg!!! March looks a few degrees cooler than average for the beginning so far but I'll take 35 to 39* day temps over 70's and 80's season killer temps
