Hi everyone! Maple syrup newbie here. A buddy and I are boiling on a homemade natural gas burner that seems to be not very efficient. We are interested in building our own wood gasification arch. Any help with plans or drawings or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your input.

I have a fasination with gasification also, but from what little I know I don't think it's something that would work well.
I don't want to discourage you but the amount of combustible fuel from that process is rather light for the amount of heat you're going to want to make.
Check out some YouTube videos on Rocket Stoves.
I don't quite know how well that concept would work but it would be a different approach to just stuffin' a firebox full of wood.
Good Luck!

This was the reason I got interested in gasification arches. No doubt this one is way, way out of my budget.
Thanks!

There are a couple threads here about this Flat lander has pictures from his arch build and Tucker has some pictures of the one he had built. Most of the gasifier arches are based off of the Intenso-fire and the Force 5. I dont know of anyone who has used Leaders design. I looked into it once but the vortex cones are a pain to try and work with. What size are you looking to build?

Right now we are working with a 24 x 36 x 6 flat pan and a 24 x 10 x 6 pre-warmer pan. We'd like the arch to accommodate an additional 24 x 24 x 6 flat pan that would flow into our 24 x 36 x 6.

After doing much research this is NOT a gasification arch. CDL does make one (intensofire) flats made one and I am currently building one. We are not totally sure how well they work but I will be doing a lot of after the season research with boil rates and temp probes. My design is directly built off an intensofire with the same style blowers. Updates can be seen on sugarbush.info under the home build thread "the dragon"
