We have two liquid ring pumps similar to those sold by leader. They are oil cooled. There is a restrictor on the side of the oil tank on top of pump that appears to slow the oil as it goes out of tank through radiator and back to pump. Does anyone know why that is there? Will the pump not cool the oil enough without that? We have had problems in the past with small pieces of dirt getting stuck in it and plugging the passageways casuing overheating issues.
Just curious if anyone had any first hand experience.
