pan question

I posted this question on the main forum, I have a 4 by 4 foot front pan, with four sections,, when I did my test boil and drain down I had water left over in the middle two sections. About a 1/4 to 3/8 inch, which tells me that they are a little lower than the outside two. Will this cause me a problem? or is this normal.
