That's funny. I have been telling people for years, that's how I decide it time to start. As soon as we start seeing and smelling the skunks.

Don't mean to hijack this thread but I have found the best remidie for an animal that has been sprayed by a skunk


Mix together
1 cup lemon Joy
1 cup peroxide
bathe animal just like a normal bath scrubbing to a soapy lather.

Got this from a friend who owns a very large vet hospital in Northern VA.

Works amazing well.

Are we tapping road kill, or trees? Road kill cafe' we could serve flat frog franks. But seriously I have heard the same when the skunks wake up tap. Now the question is did something wake them or did they just get up? LOL this is fun, you are way down south almost to Ohio, generaly about 2 weeks ahead of us.

Actually Clarksville is about way between Grand Rapids and Lansing just south of I-96.

Dunno about tapping road kill. Funny how things come up while we r all waiting to get taps in...the trees that is.

Haven't seen any roadkill but tapped 209 with the bucket brigade yesterday. Just small time but have a great bunch of guys to work with.
Might have jumped the gun on the weather but can't wait to find out!
