What pH do I want on a wash cycle? I'm using Lapierre's solid wash soap (sodium hydroxide I think) and the high temp shutoff is 45C.

I use a Mark 1 and the instructions say a ph of 11. Something interesting I learned at a seminar this past year that Brad Gillian of Leader Evaporator gave, was to check your ph again about 10 minutes into the wash because all the dirt that the membrane has collected will reduce the ph some. So for an efficient wash the ph should be checked and adjusted as necessary.

Thanks Homestead. I usually start the wash, add some soap, and re-check after 10 min. to see where it's at. I do find the pH changes during the wash cycle.
