Hello

I was reading the Quebec organic standards and under "Defoaming agents" it approves of using striped maple wood (Acer pennsylvanicum, aka Pennsylvania maple or moose maple).

Has anyone used this wood to control foaming in the evaporator? In what form is it used? Application procedures? How effective is it?

Welcome to the Trader!

Um, yeah, there was a thread about this just a week or so. Check it out here (http://mapletrader.com/community/showthread.php?t=4959&highlight=striped+maple). Unfortunately though, we never got to answering your question about how to actually use the stuff. Stick it in the pan and stir, perhaps?

I use a few drops of safflower oil and it works like magic.
Clan, is the stir part from Salem?

Only if my wife is doing the stirring. ;)
