View Full Version : Hands drying out from handling tubing?

I don't know if it is just me, but my hands are wicked dry from handling 5/16 tubing. Anyone else have this problem. I have been using 30p and max flow Leader.

Try Working Hands hand cream, works for me. It is unlikely to be the tubing, just that the air has little moisture and you are likely not wearing gloves. Cold (or cool) hands dry out faster.

I get the same thing this time of year - regardless of whether I'm tapping, pulling tubing, cutting firewood etc... I think it's from your hands being wet most of the day plus the beating they take from the physical labour.

Yeah my hands crack like crazy during sap season.

My hands dry and crack as well this time of year. I've found CORN HUSKERS LOTION to work about the best of anything. Apply several times (3 -5 times) a day. It's about $3.00 a bottle.

I wear cloth gloves that have rubber coating when handling tubing

Same here, cloth lightweight with rubber grip . love them.
