what do you guys use for caulking around the pipe where it goes through the roof..flashing to flue pipe..I went to home depot and they only have stuff good to 500F..I need something good for 1200F...If the pipe was insulated there wouldnt be a problem..just put a flashing ring on the pipe and add tar ..i cant use tar here its too hot

I have used this stuff before . No problem. Do you really think the stack is at 1200 degrees by the time it goes through the roof ?

Any auto store will have red silicon. That's what I'm going to use. It's rated to like 2000-2500*

you could try regular 100% silicone caulking.i have used it on my outdoor furnace chimney for years without any problems.
