I wanted to say thank you to Jim Schumacher at Smoky Lake Maple for creating this beautiful work of art.

It is a wood fired 2'x8' drop flue.

Looks good. Jim does amazing work. My pan is made by him.

Very nice! Some day I would like to get a preheater/hood from him. I really like how they are built.

Did you have Jim send your pan into Soo mich.He is making me a 2 x3 flat pan/burner and stand and 16 gal bottler.I plan to use the flat pan to draw off into.See how it works.

Yes I did. I got it shipped to Weirs. Shipping was in the range of $40-$60 if I remember.

Thanks Terry! I couldn't have done it without the help of my dad and two younger brothers. We put in a lot of time building, but I think we are going to have a lot more fun boiling!

Sure is a nice looking evaporator! Jim does amazing work! You have the most efficient and best looking pans on the market right there.
You did a nice job on the arch too. Where did you get the front?

Thanks Josh, I can't wait to fire em up. I got the used front from our local Leader dealer, Sugar Bush Supplies Co in Mason, MI. They had several pieces of used equipment laying around and were eager to make a deal.
