Cash Only

How many of you guys who sell syrup only accept cash? and problems or complaints?

I started taking credit cards and upped my sales right away.

We take checks here and at farmers markets. We take them from anywhere. People buy more product when you tell them sure we take checks. Only time we got bad checks were from people we knew. :(

I take cash,checks and credit cards. People seem to spend more if they can charge it and some just dont carry much cash.

We take cash, checks, and credit cards. It is mostly cash and checks 10 months of the year but in spring we seem to get the bulk of our credit card sales. Check and cc purchases tend to be more $$ than cash sales.

We take it all, for the cards we use the Square on a smart phone we lose 2.75% of the sale in fees but as stated earlyier folks spend more money. At our farmers market checks have dropped to nothing and card sales are growing. As far as the fee my time is imporant too, time running to the bank and fuel I figure is a wash.

If I didnt take checks my sales would probably go down by 75%. In this day and age alot of people carry no cash with them.
