Is the 1" thick insulation then half firebrick better then running just plain full brick. I have got the new arch to the point of brick and have an oppertunity to get full 3'' brick for $1 a brick. I would just get the full brick but I built my arch with the plans on 1'' insulation and then 1 1/2'' thick brick. Another question do you use refractory cement between the bricks like you would if you were doing a wall or just stack the brick and use the cement to fill in cracks. Thanks for the help. As soon as I get half a second I will post some pics of the new rig. Busting my hump trying to get this thing done. Still have to put the drop tubes in the pan. Looks like we will be tapping here pretty quick.
