Ok, so with the recent warm up managed to get a quick 100 gallons of sap. Now, my new boil pan is kind of more like a 5' x 6' syrup pan. Doing the math it takes roughly 40 gallons to put 2" of sap in the pan. Today I boiled off all my sap, but what do I do with what is in the pan now? Should I just draw it off and finish it elsewhere? Leave it in the pan and plan on pushing it out with the next boil?

This is only my second year but it takes around 40 gallons of sap to make 1 gallon of Syrup. So I would take what you have left and boil it down to syrup on say a turkey fryer in a big Stainless Steel Pot.
I guess you could add to it but eventually you will have alot of almost Syrup and have to boil down in a smaller container anyhow...
