Does anybody try to save some money and use beer bottles that you can reseal,or the type you reseal with the recap tool.It just cost so much for shipping and so on.I get most of my bottles back but the bottles I would use myself in like a corona bottle? My buddy makes beer and uses the bottles and tool to seal them?I'm not selling it I barter or pay my favors with the syrup.

We used beer bottles before we got licensed. Family and friends loved it. We put gold foil from Bascoms over the top - really dressed it up. Indeed, caps and capper are cheap and plentiful. I used to do a lot of home brewing, and got several cases of Bud bar bottles from a redemption center for $0.07 per bottle. Bud labels seemed to come off the easiest; Sam Adams the hardest.
Grolsch bottles reseal and are cool, too. Not fond of the beer, though. Again, the redemption center is the place to get them cheaply (or free sometimes).

Another type of bottle is the Snapple apple juice ones and also the Lipton Iced Tea bottles. (Glass only-not the plastic) They are 1 pint and almost always re seal. They have a larger neck so I can reach in with a brush on my cordless drill to really scrub them out.

We used to do 6 packs as gifts. People loved them. Now we just used Sugarhill jugs.

I been using New Castle beer bottles. It's the only clear bottle that I could find that I could cap and the label comes off easy. It's also engraved on the bottle "the one and only". I do like the look of the corona bottle but the label is painted on and does not want to come off.
Also I print labels on the computer using regular paper and stick them on using milk. Works better than you would ever have I thought.
Good luck

I applied the label by just putting milk to the back of the paper label and sticking it to the bottle and have not had one fall off yet. I have no idea why that works, but it works great.
