Prefilter on RO

Looking for replacement prefilters my Ro uses 2.5"x20" 5 micron melt blown. Is there a difference between these and string wound or spun bound? Are flow rates different with the different kinds, or is it a personal preference on which one to choose.

String filters will work. Another good place to get filters is a place called FarmTek. They have good prices and fast delivery.
