What size pipe?

What size pipe should i use from my head tank to my evap.? Headed to lowes soon to get what i need, just by reading around seems as tho everbody is in the 1 1/2 to 2" range........ is that good?

I ran 2" from my tank to my evap. just because that was the size fittings on my tank and evap., which made it easier to run 2". 1.5" or 2" would work fine, whichever is easier for you. Neil

I use 3/4 line it gives me plenty of flow for my 2x6 and its easier to find fittings and less expensive.

I ended up going with 1 1/2 because that is the size ball valve on my back float box. I just dident want to go to small thats all. thank you for your guys input. Regards Josh.
