Hey Guys,
How long is your longest run of 5/16 tubing? I have some about 150' but most are far shorter.

I have a couple that are at least that long or a little longer with about 30 taps on each on a steep grade(gravity runs).

640 feet with about 50 taps, and couple other several hundred footers. run nice, and some natural vac.

this has to be on gravity. Longest on vacuum is about 75 feet. average about five/six taps on each line.

is natural vac possible on flat land with slope in the lines for a 3-4% drop and 15-20 taps per line?

I guess I should have said longest on tight vac.

I have several 400' runs, 30 to 50 taps on them.

The "experts" recommend laterals no longer than 100ft on vacuum that are running straight up and down the hill. The best way to learn to keep your laterals short is to vacuum wash your tubing. On laterals longer than 100ft you have little vacuum to suck the wash water through the line and it moves slowly. If you have only 1 tap on a tree right at the mainline the vacuum sucks water violently through the lateral! The "strive for 5" rule is a good one to follow too.

I guess I have 3 or 4 in an old bush (originally designed for gravity but now on vacuum) that might be 125-150'. My plan is to extend a main to dissect those and split into an upper and lower lateral but I haven't gotten to that yet.
All of my newer installs , designed for vacuum, have stuck to the 100' max and 3-7 taps, most at 4-5 taps..
