How many trees do you tap?

Just curious how many buckets people are tapping? We are currently expanding to over 2100 this year..... What about you?

150 for this year. Could do several thousand mature trees in the years ahead! we will see.

Still have the same 1400 buckets the rest on tubing
At the mmsi show there was a guy talking about the lead
In the wheeling buckets that you can no longer use them.
I suppose this may be true but havent heard anything from
The inspector so i guess ill keep using them. I paid 6 a piece
For them thats 8400 dollars alot of money to be thrown away
And 32 dollars for stainless thats a little over 44000 dollars
Ridiculous. But thats alot of buckets you cant use tubing?

Shane, there has nothing been done about banning buckets mainly because everything is "boiled out"
And as far as tapping that many..... We love it!!! I have a 10 year old and 7 year old with their own buckets for gathering... My husband and I and my father in law are the laborers along with friends when they can come. We have a great "system" no buckets more then 100 ft from our roads.... Good luck this year

We will have over 4000 buckets this year on roadside trees, kind of a pain but u can't beat the sugar content of those huge sugars, its double our vacuum trees but they are all soft maples also.,

10 just around the sugarhouse, first year we did 120, second 85, now 10. Putting everything on tubing I like it best when the sap is waiting for me at the sugarhouse when I get out of work.

we have 4 buckets around the sugarhouse,always running over.picked up a new sugarbush for next year, they used to tap 2000 wooden buckets [ still in the barn] thought of setting a few around their farm, this year.but i think the old paint it pretty high in lead

we do about 150 buckets of different sizes, some 5 gallons with 3 taps to them and others just a 16 qt sap bucket. then 100 on tubing.

going for 300-350 but might reach 500 if conditions allow, but most likely 350, 95 % are 2 gallon aluminum. someday would love to crack 1000 maybe 3 years but would definately need some labor help!!

We have about 400 Buckets but I'm working on more tubing to keep some of them in storage...
I'm not pleased watching buckets run on the ground...
