I am wondering how much sap I'll get from 400 taps on tubing ? I don't know if I have enough tanks or if I need to get more. First time sugaring on tubing used buckets years ago. Just got all my equipment this year to do it again after 30 years.

2 gallon per tap is a good rule of thumb , that will keep you out of trouble about 90 % of the time :)

Running about 25" of vacuum I bet there are less than 3 days in the average year I get more than 1 gallon/tap. When I sold the sap and kept better track of sap totals I got over 20 gallons/tap for the season.

I would agree with WIAM, a gallon per tap is a good run. Now if it rounds for 24 hours that a different story! JimL.

But if this happens you should be boiling to make it fit in much smaller containers. lol
