20 gallon pot with spigot to finish?

Is a 20 gallon pot on a Bayou Classic burner to big to finish syrup on? I am looking at that set up for brewing beer and also using for syrup. Not sure if I will get beer flavors into my syrup by doing that but would love to limit equipment if I could. Will stainless hold flavors from beer to syrup?

I have never made beer, but have cooked plenty of seafood in mine in the summer. I get no flavers other than great syrup!
