Is Bill on mapletrader? If so does anyone know his name on here? I have worked with him for 2 years and both his products and customer service are top notch!

I am going to try 50 taps, which is the maximum tappable trees on my lot.

Going to be paying Bill a visit myself this next week to order a new 2x4 arch for the 2014 season. Been doing a lot of reading and calculating (and penny pinching) to get me a new arch. Seems like Bill is one of the best in the business, and I'm looking forward to doing business with him.

I second (or third, etc.) the quality of Bill's work. Purchased a Mason evaporator from Bascom in November and just finished bricking last weekend. Test-fired it and I'm looking forward to the sap running! Thanks Bill!!

This will be my 2nd season with 2 x 4 hobby evap from Bill. I run...pull up a seat....150 taps thru it with no problem.
Absolutely love it.

Bill underestimates the capabilities of his machines. In 2011, our last year on our 2x3 Mason, we installed/connected a preheater and shroud to the back of the arch and were able to achieve 9gph of evaporation consistently. We made 31gal. of syrup on 140 buckets. Made some lifetime memories on that machine and some fabulous syrup...what fun machine to operate.

Purchased a 2x3 evaporator last year with a fan and loved it. Looking forward to this season. Have a single batch SS pan and preheater from Andy Wegner sitting up on top. Just got a SS cover for the pan and a SS screen for the preheater (will put a orlon filter on top of the screen to filter the sap) from Andy a few days ago. Two good guys.

The bottom of his post says 2013 45 taps. We are at the same number of taps this year on a mason 2x3 with a blower, I tell ya what that thing cranks big time it is great.

This will be our third year with our 2' x4' Mason, top quality craftmanship, great guy to deal with. We are running about 100 taps on ours, we have a home made preheater and bought a blower from Bill, on a good night we can run through about 14 gallons an hour.

I received my 2x6 Evaporator w/ drop TUBE rear pan last fall and am so looking forward to running it this year. Around 175, maybe 200 taps will be out this year!! Let's hope this REALLY REALLY cold snap continues for a bit, and nice SAP season awaits!!

This will be my second year on a Mason 4.5x2 raised flue. Installed rear blower and pre-heater. Love the over-all operation of this evaporator. Can't beat the bang for the bucks.
