Gonna run my first lines today. Made some drops the other night. Other than starting on the top of the hill, and working down, any tips?

If I get some free time soon I could come help you set them up since your only an hour away. How many trees are you putting on tubing? That will help clarify the best way to do your set up is

Just running through about 50 small trees.(mostly reds) I have others available to me, but gonna start in the back yard so I don't look completley foolish! I may take you up on that Spencer when I go out in the real world! I will let you know how this works out.

Hi bird, I'm also in your area. This is my third year on gravity tubing so I'm no expert, but there's a lot I've come to understand better each year. Let us know how it goes.

Depending on on how far apart your trees are you should be able to do it with 2 or 3-5/16" lines to your collection tank. That number of trees per line should give you pretty good natural vac when the saps running. I would really like to see your set up running, if I get some time off this season I would love to swing by

Well, I got some done. About 50. Wanted to get some 4 way connectors so I could run 2 taps to a tree without 2 tees. Went to Maple Guys and the were closed today (bummer). Also went to look at some nice sugars down the road, and asked myself why I am wasting my time and money on these reds! I could do at least as many taps with half as much line! Got to get those trees!!! That poor little Half Pint will be cooking 24/7.
