Wondering if anyone out there is using a CDL hobby RO (120volts, the style that sits on top of tank). What are the pros/cons?? I see they have drains but do not require being stored in a heated room. Anyone here using one, would you suggest one? thanks

I don't know anyone that has a CDL hobby RO but I know a few with larger CDL RO's. they are very good machines. If I were to buy that is what I would go with.

I was recently in the market for a ro myself.
I decided you could buy a lot of used 600 for the price of the hobby. (which is what I did , plus I didn't want to out grow it next year.
Even nott having run it yet I can already see a few advantages to the hobby:
Less wiring=less money
Less plumbing=less money
Portability
Ability to process small runs easier
But, it will not give the performance of the 600
In reality, any water you can remove is fuel time and labor saved.
My opinion only
Good luck

Maybe this is a stupid question but what are the 5 stars on this line? I have never noticed this before.
