Was tickled pink with the boil. I have a 10' stack and just the draft door open and I can't see the sap it boils that good. Was worried about sap level at first but the float did its job perfectly. My only issue is the 5 gallon head tank! I was up the ladder way too often.

Here's a video of it running. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=whRR8BlfocY The string tied to the pex is basically my float valve adjustment. Twist it up for less flow ( pushes the float down into the sap) or loosen it for more flow. Very crude but it had a lot more fine adjustment than the nut adjustment on the float valve itself.

Great looking rig. A lot of homemade craftsmanship and ingenuity.
