Hey everyone I was looking through ebay and found this pump for sale, I was wondering if anyone has any info on them. I'm thinking about buying it as its a really good price for a new pump, but my only worry is it comes with a direct mount 3 phase motor and I would need to convert the motor to single phase. It says the mountin flange has 4, 3/4" bolts on a 3" bolt circle which seems a little odd. Other info on the pump is 35CFM open air flow and about 10cfm @29HG. Does anybody have an idea about these? Thanks

do you have a link to the ebay ad, or is there a website from the manufacturer?

Heres the link to the ebay page.
I googled the make and model to get the performance curves. Its made in germany so alot of stuff comes up in metric.

If you are not going to use the existing motor, I would not bother. We have been dealing with a Travaini pump with a Euro motor that we are trying to replace, but finding a motor with the same bolt patter has been tough. At this point we are having a mounting plate machined.

This ebay pump may be cheap, but it may end up costing more than you think. You could also use a VFD to convert single phase to three phase but that gets expensive as well.

Setting one just like it on a 1000 tap woods. There are vfds for a good price at www.driveswharehouse.com. It is 2.2kw motor. And this little pump will make 35 cfms at 29hg. They are good up to 2500 taps.

Well, someone scored it for 305$. Anyone here? These small liquid ring pumps seem really solid for maple. We have a 2hp single stage and a 5hp double stage(still working on a motor for it) Travaini powered with VFDs. Both are three phase. Getting the water to them and keeping them from freezing are key but not too challenging. Now I am working on transducers for them. The 2hp will do 28" on my almost 500 tap system without problem, but with the transducer/VFD combo I will be able to reduce the amperage and run the pump slower to achieve the 28" goal.

I'm pretty sold on running a higher capacity liquid ring and then ramping it down with the VFD/transducer combo.

It looks to me like these pumps will do 10 CFM at 29". The 35 CFM rating is open flow.

I am running a travaini trse 32 via a 5.5 hp Honda. I use a galvy trash can for my cooling reservoir and run rv coolant cut with water.

You can get 35 cfm, or you can get 29" Hg.....just not at the same time.
