The Catskill/hudson valley forceast this week has my trigger finger twitching considering last years weather. Is it just a Jan thaw? Is tapping early and sacrificing March runs worth it? Do Check valves and new drop lines compensate for early tapping? We tapped 2 weeks early last year, this would be 4 weeks early.

not sure about there......but I know our forecast has this weather as well as does everyone but ours stops on the 16th with the madness that is the weather then its supposed to turn cold again. well see I hope I can start the season on time (mid feb.) or the wife will be mad if I don't get to redo the bathroom in january as promissed!!!

Not sure about check valves drop lines, weds buckets Bute aregoingto hold off for a bit still. Willbe tapping last week of January or the first week of February.
