Hello All,

I live in Voluntown, Ct. This will be my third year. First year I had 8 buckets hung on trees in my yard. I got about 1 gallon of syrup on pan over blocks in the back yard. Got hooked, built a sugar house and built a better evaporator. Tapped about 50 trees in 2012, mostly swamp maples and got only about 1 gallon again. Looking to buy 250 gallons of sap. I have a tank and can pick up within 200 miles. Hope the sap flows better this year, but just in case i would like to buy some so I can try out the evaporator.

You really want to haul sap 200 miles!!! Sounds far to me but if I have enough sap I will let you know.

You have longer than that. Time is not your friend, but if it is boiled within 24 hrs you will be fine unless it is warm.
